Making Ankylosaurus Picture

Today I spent so much time making a picture of an ankylosaurus thats cute in gimp 2. It nearly killed me but i finished it. However now I am depressed that it looks crappy. I can't make good art. The art is uploaded on this site. Can someone give me some tips?
